Is this realistic or too much?
Hey folks,
Star wars dessert party has finally released dates for our trip... My original plan for day 3 was discovery cove and then epcot for a few drinks and fireworks in the evening as its my parents 25th wedding anniversary that day (fireworks at 9) however I'm now wondering whether to book the desert party but fireworks are at 10... cant decide whether its a great idea as be less rushed getting from DC or too long a day? Those who have done DC what did you feel up for doing after?x |

Done DC several times over the years.
Personally even though it’s a relax day a full day in the sun with a few beverages takes its toll. I always come away relaxed but tired. A good sleep and a chill out would be needed personally. We tend to do DC in the middle of the holiday to recharge the batteries |

Ahhh ok... I would have done mid holiday but we wanted the date for my parents anniversary. Just cant decide which would be best for the evening and dessert party is dear but I know dad would love it. Figured we wont want a meal with the included food during the day? Maybe look at a different date... x

If that was me I would want a break of at least 4 hours between the 2 to relax and nap before the evening.

When I went to DC last year I'd planned to go to MK in the evening but was shattered so stayed at the resort. Even though it was a relaxing day it was a long one in that heat. I didn't sunbathe, kept cool in the water.

I think it does depend on the people in your party a bit too.
Dc is a relaxing day compared to the parks it can also be pretty tiring. Being out in the sun for hours and all that swimming is pretty draining. We have always ended up heading back to the resort/villa to chill though we do have kids in tow so its been the best option - maybe if it was just adults we'd consider hitting a park later but I do think its really hard to know how you will feel till the day. Personally I would book the dessert party for another day as I do think you'll enjoy it better that way. |

Thanks for all the feedback. I think we are best playing by ear that night with the provisional plan of epcot then and presumably we could always book dessert party on the day if we were awake enough and availability? DC is our first rest day too x
