I-drive, DS & City Walk restaurants - any duffers on our list?
We go in 3 weeks (staying offsite) and doing 10 nights at Vista Cay (near I-drive) and 2 nights at RPR. Our current plan is to do the following restaurants on the evenings:
On/near I-drive: -Millers Alehouse -Coopers Hawk -The Yardhouse -Longhorn Steakhouse -Bahama Breeze At Disney Springs: -Maria & Enzo's -The Boathouse (anniversary meal) At City Walk: -Antojito's -NBC Grill The other nights we'll either be in a Disney park or just getting a takeaway. It would be good if any Dibbers could provide any feedback on our list - any duffers in there or must-do's that we've overlooked? TIA. |

I'm not a fan of Bahama Breeze and would go to BJ's instead but that might be 'alehouse overload'

Would suggest Rock and brews - was really impressed with it - might be worth a look. really enjoyed both your Universal choices. (was dragged to watch Arsenal lose at NBC grill but chicken sandwich was good)
Would also recommend wine bar George in Disney Springs for a drink/Cocktail before or after meal. Mannys Chophouse - is always a must do for us Edited at 09:27 PM. |

Thanks for the replies, will have a look at BJ's and Rock & Brews. Are they both on I-drive ?
I've got no problem at all with "alehouse overload" but the missus might not approve ! Well not every night anyway |

There are a few places to eat near the Publix by Vista Cay. The garlic knots at NYPD pizza are lovely and I have also read good reviews about Beth's Burger Bar. Have a great time!

Thanks Tracy, we definitely will!
We've heard good things about NYPD Pizza & Beth's Burgers & we're planning to hopefully get to both of them during our stay at Vista Cay. The plan is to stay local on our first evening & go to NYPD, then get an early night, ready to hit MK early the next day. |

We really like Bahama Breeze, it's nice to go somewhere with different kind of food options. I wouldn't bother with Millers Ale House, we found it to be like a Yatses or something. I mean its okay but not somewhere I would go to intentionally. I do know lots of people here love it though.
We also like Olive Garden, the food isn't super high quality but I do love the free soup and breadsticks! I would also add Giordano Pizza to your IDrive list- sooooo good! |

Food and restaurants are such a subjective subject.
I would skip millers too. It wasn’t that great when we ate there. Longhorn and ihop are our number one faves. Bubbalous bbq is outstanding for a quick, cheap and casual bbq meal.

Thanks for the further replies everyone, I appreciate that we all have different tastes but it's good to get first-hand experience as we'll be first timers in Florida & it's also been 15 years since we were last in the USA.
Based on the feedback, we've decided to drop Millers in favour of BJ's & the only other decision is whether to swap Bahama Breeze for either Olive Garden or possibly The Cheesecake Factory - we'll just decide on the day when we're over there I think. Dr JJ - I stumbled across one of your recent dining reviews & noticed that you'd visited quite a few in our shortlist (Coopers Hawk, Longhorn, etc, plus BJ's, Olive Garden) and had good things to say about them generally. So quite chuffed about that and thanks for the BJ's shout. |
