Twilight check in-how busy?
Normally go for premium flights for virgin, but at the moment we are Econ. We are thinking of doing Twilight check in to avoid the queues in the morning. Never done it before, just wondered how busy it normally is? Do you have to take your hand luggage too in order to get a tag on it or anything? We go mid/late April next year. Thanks

We did this a couple of months ago - we went early when it opened. Not busy at all (that was in June). I would definitely do it - so much nicer to know cases are sorted in the morning.

We found that its pot luck. We've arrived at different times and sometimes found a queue and other times there has been nobody.

As above. Luck of the draw. Hand luggage not needed.

We went as soon as it opened last year and were one of the first in the queue. We then were able to relax for the rest of the evening and go for a meal. This was in October.

We are going hand luggage only and staying at the airport the night before. If check in isn’t busy can we check in and get boarding cards then go straight through to security in the morning?

Hi. Yes you can. They may give you a quizzical look when you say no luggage.
Your other option is to do OLCI and use the boarding passes on your phone. I know nothing about this as it's too technical for me!

Ok, thanks. We are happy with hand luggage only and have been asked if that was all we had a number of times. We don’t dress up or shop for items to bring home these days.

We went in October and there was no queue, was about 830, great to get luggage sorted and just do security in the morning, hotel by Gatwick was only £59 too.
