Get there as early as possible. For opening or preferably early opening if you are staying in a Universal hotel. First couple of hours are the best - very quiet and you can do all the slides before Tapu Tapu is needed.

Then you can do wave pool, lazy river, fast river at your leisure.

Aqua Coaster, Oh No slide, the big blue raft ride and the 3 drop slides in the volcano are the busiest things there so they are the ones to do first.

Wonderful water park.

Early entry is an amazing benefit if your staying on site. If not arrive a good 45 mins before opening so you will get ahead of the crowds, though lots hotel guests will already be in the park, if u can book premium seating it’s well worth it, the regular seating is fine if u want to be rubbing shoulders with everyone else as they pack u in like sardines

Get there early. If staying on site get in for park opening. Did the aquacoaster 3 times in a row before official park opening. It was up to 100 minute return time soon after.

Another to get there early. Do the aquacoaster and the big drop slide in the middle, then the family raft type rides. When it gets busy do the fast lazy river. It's great!

Getting Excited

We were there on Thursday. Amazing park. I think we had a fairly quiet day, so not sure I would recommend especially getting there extremely early if off-site. We got to park garages about 8.30 and were killing time before we could get in at 9. Not many people were there at the offsite rope drop - about 30 of us maybe?

I do agree with hitting the big rides first. Krakatoa is amazing and we got 3 rides in early without much wait. It was 300 mins later! Honu and Ike Moana got long waits, but the other family raft rides were ride now or 10 minutes queues for most of the day. Ohyea and ohno has really long waits too by mid morning. Not sure why as nothing special in our opinion. We didn’t do the extreme slides on the volcano.

Punga racers have dropped the weight limit to 150 lbs so were quiet all day and we could always get on the tube rides, so leave those until later. Fearless river is brilliant. One of our favourite things there.

If you have the photopass, you don’t need to register it first thing, you can do it later at your leisure as the photos will be captured by your tapu tapu.
Have fun!

Are there little cubby holes to put your shoes in before each ride?

each ride does have little hanging nets to put shoes etc in.
I agree with others about warly entry you can get lots done. But also consider the other end of the day. we did a few hours this evening and every slide we wanted to do was a walk on apart from the familiy coaster. PLus the experince of doing the slides at night changed the park.
