Tax not included in the rate advertised.

Price quoted in Dollars when the owners are English & live in England.

Advertising spa/jacuzzi only to find it's either in the bath or it's an hot tub.

Advertising a safe in villa but you have to pay management company to use it.

Only take bookings Saturday to Saturday.

Over the top price for pool/spa heat to what other owners charge.

Do any of the above apply to you also ?

Big No NO for me is when you cant see the view from the pool, always makes me think they are trying to hide something like too close neighbours or a rotten view.

I always try and book a UK price as it makes things so much easier for payment ect. They are shooting themselves in the foot by only doing Sat-Sat booking.

I also like to have some form of internet connection... if not offered...a no go for me.

I never look at ones in dollars, don't know why, probably laziness.

If they don't have a picture of the pool then no way!

I also ALWAYS look at the direction of the property on polkpa ... if it is pointing the wrong way for sun until sunset... doesnt get my booking...simple

this is always the first thing I look for too. I like to see a villa room plan as well - no idea why but i suppose it helps me visualise how it will fit us! and usually try and pick it out on a map/satellite view to see what is around it!

Americans are used to having to pay tax on top of any price quoted

This is because the majority of an owners expenses are in dollars. The only expense in pounds is if there is a UK mortgage.

Not quite sure what you mean here, spa and hot tub can mean the same to some people.

Advertising a safe in villa but you have to pay management company to use it.

This is not misadvertising if they say quite clearly you have to pay for it.

Only take bookings Saturday to Saturday.

This works for some owners so they have stuck to it.

Over the top price for pool/spa heat to what other owners charge.

Maybe it is an extra large pool (like ours) or they have gas heating which is much more expensive than electric.
