Inter connecting flight to MCO - can I buy a bottle of wine and take it into US?
Hi,
We just landed from Glasgow to Iceland, waiting to head to US. Can we buy a bottle of wine and take it onto the plane and into US? It'll save the hassle of getting in US. FD

No idea - but I have had the same thought. Glass of wine is always nice on arrival! Guess it will depend on whether it is sealed on not. Sure someone here will know...

In theory yes if you buy it at duty free & they deliver it to the plane sealed. In practise they can refuse I am lead to believe.

Yes as duty free, however it will be a gazillion times cheaper in Orlando than Iceland

I think that's in the US isn't it?
Do they do that in Iceland? I imagine it's just like most places. Buy it and carry on board in a carrier bag. Of course, US border control can refuse anything but I wouldn't anticipate any issues bringing duty free items into the US. Edited at 08:14 AM. |
