Halloween!
Hi! Does anyone know if we have to buy tickets for the Halloween event if we are already staying in Disney? Thanks!

Yes, you'll need separate tickets, prices vary depending on the night you want

Futher info but yes you must have a separate ticket to attend.
Disney - MK only, the park will close at 6:00pm, any guests without party bands will be directed to leave the park, party begins at 7:00pm. If you have tickets then you can enter the park from 4:00pm, without a day ticket. Universal- Studios only, park closes at 17:00, those with tickets can remain in several holding areas, whilst the park is completely cleared. Event starts at 7:00pm but if you are in one of the holding areas you generally get "released" early. SD

Also it’s cheaper to buy the tickets for Mickeys not so scary Halloween party in advance as saves $10 per ticket. Lots of reviews on you tube about the first party (yes it’s already Halloween in Disney World!). There is a stage show each night based on Hocus Pocus film, Boo to You parade (that includes the Headless Horseman if it’s not wet) and Hallowishes fireworks about 10.15pm.
You can dress up (there are restrictions such as no face masks or pretend weapons) and trick of treat stations where staff hand out “free” candy such as mini mars bars, packet of skittles etc. There are allergy free options too if any of your party have intolerance to something. On the night there are special food items you can buy such as candy corn ice cream or Madame Leota (From Haunted Mansion) tart. They have a map that they hand out at the start that shows you locations to buy. There are also meet and greet characters you don’t normally see in the Park such as Sally and Jack from Nightmare before Christmas. The lines for those start early (after 4pm and can take several hours but if there’s a character your family really loves), there’s fastpass photographers that can take your photo. New characters this year include Stitch as Elvis! There’s also merchandise you can only buy at the party and limited edition items. One sought after item this year is the Oogie Boogie popcorn bucket as it glows in the dark (eBay has them for megabucks). Ticket prices increase the closer you get to Halloween with the night itself the most expensive ticket. That night usually sells out. As it’s a hard ticket event, there are less people than a normal Park day so a lot of the rides are almost walk on (no fastpasses after 7pm). This year there’s a couple of new things - Space Mountain is in complete darkness with music and meant to be terrifying). Tea cups has special lighting and Pirates has live actors roaming the ride and interacting with the guests. Is it worth the extra? Only you can tell. I’ve never been but have tickets for this year (I’d go twice but DH has said we’re doing enough as it is without trying to fit in another party and I’ve reluctantly agreed). Hope this helps ☺️ Edited at 01:17 PM. |

Is the park already decorated?
Have to admit it's quite absurd this early. We did the Halloween Party last October, was brilliant but the queues were scary. The Dwarves meet and greet was outrageous. FD
