is it true that yankee candle will change the lid of the jar candle to a lighter weight one as well? cos those jar lids are thick glass and weigh a ton.
Can't answer on the lids but another solution for you could be to pop into a container store and grab a cheap container..

We did this for the 30 odd Bath and Body Works hand sanitizers and some candle melts!

We’ve brought both back. Chocolate has always travelled well. Candles have usually been fine but one year the jars leaked and ruined some clothing. I would use the bubble wrap or plastic bags and not wrap in clothes or towels just in case.

Haven’t heard of the lightweight lids so will be interested to hear what anyone else has to say on this. 😄

We have done both too! Never had any problems with either ... not a bad idea to wrap them in something , better safe than sorry!

I must have been unlucky as twice I have came back and found the chocolate all melted. I think it is to do with if they leave your bags sitting on the tarmac for a while, rather than the actual flight.

I have brought back many many jar candles over the years, I just pop then in the middle of my clothes in case and never had a problem. Can’t wait for next year to pick up some more!

take with you some pedal bin liners. Then wrap up anything which has a chance of leaking to protect the other items in your case.

how would solid wax in a jar melt though if the hold is not that warm?

I will wrap things up very carefully anyway, but I'm a little concerned people have said they experienced leakage!

We had travel lids fitted on ours in the Yankee candle shop, I think you need to ask though
