Virgin holidays MDE expirence?

To cut a long story short and being tied to August looking at flight prices next year and limited availability of reward flights we may...shock horror... book with VH for 2021. We usually do DIY and villa but if DDP is available 2021 we are going to try onsite for a change. Now with the miles we’ve got i can get a hefty chunk off the holiday. (Know it’s a waste but reward flights are hard to come by in August) my question is, are VH reliable in releasing details to link to MDE to book FP? Thanks

to link to MDE, all you do is use your VH booking ref. It then pulls through your hotel and dining, as well as your tickets. (if staying on property)

I am unsure if you book a villa through VH though.

They are super easy to deal with, i logged into MDE added in my holiday booking ref and then our hotel res and tickets just appeared, all linked and ready to go. It did take a few days from when we booked for the details to show up but thats mainly because we booked the day the free dining was finally confirmed so both VH and Disney were really busy.

Strangely my hotel and dining have linked, but not my tickets, booked through VH, any ideas please?

In my experience, the tickets will appear. However, like yourself they didnt appear at the same time as the hotel.

Give it a week or so, and see if they pull through.

If not, give Disney a call. I have done this previously as when i linked my holiday for next year, only 1 room was showing and not 2. When i rang, the guy on the phone was super helpful and could see the 2nd room on his end. he clicked a few buttons and then i was also able to see it.

Looking at your countdown, you have a while to go so i wouldnt worry too much

Snap mine haven't either.

I contacted Virgin who stated that Disney will link them closer to the time.

I find it strange how my booking for August (which I need to cancel) has tickets linked, but my booking through VH for May doesn't ... if they aren't linked by the time we've paid the balance I'll be chasing them up again xx

Well that really is odd isn't it! I'm going to contact Virgin again I think.
