Self park is $10 but its a flipping long walk... We used it once and never again..
Valet is $18 per night/24 hrs and believe me it will be well worth the extra $8 per night.. However once you've paid for parking at a Caesars group property , parking at all their other hotels is free.. Its linked to your room key, so I assume you put this into the pay machines. So the parking charges aren't that bad really. I've been to the West Rim albeit via helicopter but we did land for 3/4 hr and its fine.. Its still a spectacular sight I'm sure it won't disappoint. |

Hi Jos
Yes that make sense, Thank you. We are using my husbands air miles to pay for flights and hotel I will probably prefer the Elara because of the kitchen and washing machine ( I will be able to get up and make a nice pot of tea ) Can i just ask once you get a price for the taxis do you pay online or cash? Also do you tip ? Thanks again and have a great time Jane x |

Hi Tracie
I haven't booked any tours yet. We are looking at doing the south rim luxury bus tour. We are not really looking forward to the journey but want to see the south. We are going to see Brittany Spears ( daughters choice) We also want to go to Fremont St and see a Cirque show. Keep us updated on what you decide and have a great holiday Jane x |

It would be great to have a washer...its fitted into the bathroom unit isnt it. Pretty good. Dont forget to take some pods or something as they will be expensive on the strip. Yes that would be good for me as well A nice cuppa and my weetabix. I struggle with my weight so dont like to eat out for bekkie, or lunch.
By taxi are we talking Uber? If we are its a cashless system . There is no need to tip. You have to add a credit card on line all very secure, and once ride is over the money comes from your card. It all sounds a bit scary but a lot of dibbers have used it and it works really well. We have used it in Vegas,San Fran and daughter in San Diego. There was a good post about it on here . I will see if I can find it. With actual taxis you can pay cash or cc I think but we only ever used cash before being converted to Uber. This might help: uberinlasvegas/ Edited at 01:55 PM. |

Oops, I suppose we just assumed it would be close, but then again, everyone keeps telling me how huge and far apart things are!
We would have loved to visit the South Rim, but just not prepared to give up two days this time. Already planning a return trip anyway!

I'm very jealous of those of you planning a Vegas trip as we have just got back a couple of weeks ago and I'm already wanting to go back!
We personally didn't hire a car on either trip as I thought the roads seemed crazy - soooo many lanes of traffic and I am not very good with directions even with a sat nav I can get myself lost lol! We also quite liked the option of having a drink on the strip or when gambling and offered freebies (when in Vegas!)... I think we probably spent about $100 between us over the week on transport and that included airport and trip to fremont street and got a couple of taxi's back late at night when at the far end from where we stayed etc. That said if I went again with someone happy to drive over there would be cool to check out some of the things off strip although so much to do on the strip if a first visit would have plenty to do without the need x |

Sometimes we use the strip but more often than not we use the roads that run parellel , these are usually free flowing
