So £376 for 7 nights at Monte Carlo in September.
Thats about the same as booking separately with an M Life offer or a discount code.
The Monte Carlo website currently offers a 20% saving on the room rate, plus an upgrade to a strip view, making a price of around $706 plus taxes, plus $25 per night resort fee, thus about £480 all in.
If you register with MGM Guestbook for offers, you will probably benefit from room credits to spend, and/or a cheaper room rate.
Even so £376 including resort fees and taxes is a good price.

Going to Vegas for 1st time in July - staying at the Luxor. I have read mainly only bad
reports about the hotel and am a little nervous about it now!

The Luxor is fine... it's not top end, but it's a pefectly serviceable 3 (and a bit) star hotel. The pyramid rooms are smaller than the tower rooms (and older) but have much more character (ever had a room with a 39 degree outside wall?).

There is nothing wrong with the Luxor, we have stayed here.

We chose one of the tower rooms as we believed them to be bigger than the pyramid rooms, they are also a bit lighter.

One of the biggest negatives was (maybe still is) that check in takes ages (it may have improved that now)

The bottom line is that as long as the room is clean and tidy you only sleep in the room.

Enjoy your visit!

Another thumbs up for the Luxor, there are better properties obviously but it is still a fine hotel. I personally would always book the Pyramid Room, just because the inclinators are really still rather cool.

The hotel has tried to move away from the Egyptian theme to a more contemporary style but at the end of the day you can't get away from the fact you are in a pyramid and it will always be associated with Egypt!

Paid just over 2k in total for flights and 7 nights in the Bellagio last October. It is worth every penny. It's an amazing hotel, and we managed to do the old "$20 mob tip" where you pass the check-in clerk a $20 bill and ask if you are eligable for any complimentary room upgrades. We bagged a upgrade to a brand new deluxe suite for a $20 tip.

Great location, walking distance within all the major resorts on the Strip, I couldn't recommend it any more. And make sure you wait for "Time to Say Goodbye" to be played on the Bellagio Fountains, Amazing!

Well We loved the Luxor and we've stayed at some lovely hotels over the years, we were in the towers which I believe are a bit newer but I was really happy there, believe me I have had worse experiences in Disney resorts which have cost me 4x as much, do not let it spoil your holiday, I'm sure you'll love it!

We are just back from Vegas where we stayed at the MGM Grand we had a refurbished room and it was lovely but I wouldn't stay there again in fact I think it put a negative impact on our visit to Vegas. I hated walking through the MGM casino it was so smoky and large also it took about 45 mins to walk down to the Aria (mid strip) to where my parents where staying. My brother was staying in the Cosmopolitan with a Bellagio fountains view and it was lovely. If we go back to Vegas I would book to stay in Cosmopolitan as we loved the feel of the hotel and the room layout was great.
