Mobile Disney booking help

Hi. I still have a booking for end off sept this year and obviously it isn’t looking very hopeful now. My question is due to no more bookings being taken for 2020 does this mean I would be unable to move my Disney reservation to later in the year? Would it have to be 2021 I moved it too need be? Many thanks xx

I would check the Park reservation calendar first for availability at the parks for any possible dates you could move to. Have you got tickets in your package? Are you prepared to accept the no park hopping, no fast pass and mask wearing etc.? If this works then ask whoever you booked with if you can/how much to move.

I would also think very carefully about whether you want to try and go this year with most flights cancelled up to October so far and no sign of borders opening.

ThanK you for your reply. We are booked with Disney UK direct and have park tickets included. I was thinking about nov/dec time but obviously only if situation has improved by then and flights are going etc. Are Disney UK allowing bookings to be moved to another date this year as it won’t allow me to price for any other date this year? Xx

Disney are not allowing moving bookings to later in 2020 for uk bookings, you can move to 2021 availability allowing obviously. You could look at the US booking site but can only book certain hotels and only buy up to a 7 day ticket at the moment for 2020.

Thank you guys for confirming I am unable to move my booking to any other date this year. I hadn’t realised that. I think I now need to resign myself to the fact my September holiday isn’t going to go ahead and decide new dates for next year now. Do I have to wait for my holiday to be officially cancelled now or can I move my Disney booking to next year with no amendment fee just now? Xx

Did you not respond to the 12 June email? Everybody booked directly with Disney was requested to register one of three options, keep as is, rebook to next year or cancel. If no option was selected the default was a cancellation.

Yeah I got the email and I responded saying I wanted to keep my sept booking. I was hopeful at that stage my holiday would go ahead at end off September but obviously now it isn’t looking likely! What do I do now if travel not allowed will Disney cancel for me or will I have to rearrange? Thanks x

If it is a resort only booking, then you can still cancel up to eight days before. I would imagine you will need to initiate this cancellation. You may lose the deposit as it is open, but that is worse case scenario of £50 per person.
