Tourin' Over California 2017 - Day 12 - San Diego

We set the sat nav for the old town to get the trolley bus tour. The car park was just across the road from where the tour starts.
We bought our tickets and boarded the bus.

We passed USS Midway, Seaport Village and the Gas Lamp Quarter. The airport is so close to the city that you got a really good view of the planes landing and taking off as we went past.

We decided to stay on until Coronado Island going across the bridge and getting off at the Hotel Del Coronado , where Some Like it Hot was filmed and the Grand Floridian design was based on.

We had a wander round the hotel and beach and then went to Subway for lunch before getting the bus back. Tracey and I both had the sub of the day chicken teriyaki but it wasn't very nice.

We had to go back to start of tour to get next bus for the other stops we wanted to do, passing through Balboa Park where there were some really nice buildings before arriving back at Old Town. We had a quick look in the gift shops and then got the bus again. This time we had a really funny driver asking questions and giving out tokens. We were only staying on until embarcadero but were tempted to stay on because of the driver.

We had a look at USS Midway from the shore and the Embracing Peace statue which was much bigger than we had realised.

We went to some loos nearby which didn't have any doors on cubicles.

We then walked down to Seaport Village, had a look round the shops but were a bit disappointed with them on the whole. We noticed the Cheesecake Factory so we now knew where we would be going for tea.

While waiting for the next bus we had a look at the magnets in the shop by the bus stop.

Back on the bus we once again crossed the bridge to Coronado Island and stayed on to compete tour once again

Back at old town we got the car and drove back to the hotel and got changed to head back to Seaport for Cheesecake Factory for tea.
