We've had an expedition and a Tahoe, DH preferred the Tahoe. Although both are nice vehicles.

Or should I say are you more luxurious vehicles?
We tend to do a fair bit of driving all around Florida so definitely want comfort!

We have upgraded to group z as part of our fly drive, as it was actually cheaper...got a £30 reduction. How big are these group z cars, what’s the uk equivalent?

If you wanted to compared a Tahoe to a UK car - The Tahoe is 20cm shorter than the Nissan Navara,

The Nissan Navara -

The Tahoe is 20cm bigger than a Range Rover -

Which is 10cm bigger than a X5

And as a contrast... in the next size group up...

Chevy Surburan,

569.9cm long -

But then - comparing a UK pick up truck to an american one... the Long wheel base Super Duty is 675.64cm long - which is 1 meter longer than the Surburan !

Yes both vehicles had all mod cons, very comfortable to drive and be passenger in. Hubby thought he had died and gone to heaven. We covered quite a few miles coast to coast and down to Miami.

Hubby said the Tahoe is like a Discovery 4 on steroids,
The Expedition is like the new ford rangers only bigger. Overall hubby preferred the V8 of the Tahoe.

I would say the Tahoe without reading all the paper work dimensions

Though.. if you need 7 seats and luggage, you need a Chevy Surbuban or similar.

Between a Tahoe and Expedition when all 7 seats are in use, (3rd row) there is not much boot space because of the 3rd row of seats.

Spare for 2 suitcases.

Here is the 2018 Expedition with all 7 seats in use.

Boot Space when 3rd row laid flat not in use

.

and here is the Tahoe

and the 3rd row flat ..

Sorry we didn't use the back row of seats, I think the Tahoe had more room as the above post has covered.
