I love it. Find it really quite peaceful yet still has plenty going on. It's $5 entry or so, plenty of parking. Plus there are a couple of tolls to get there. Cannot remember how much sorry.

Beaches are fab, and so white. I like north beach the best. The pelicans fascinate me. The fish are jumping.

There are some facilities and snack bars etc but picnic is fun. It can get v windy though so sandy sandwiches 😁

The fort itself gives an interesting perspective but is quite ruinous. Interesting for a v brief walk though. Don't expect anything substantial. But the history is interesting.

Love the mangroves - want to go back and so some kayaking.

Have a great time.

We went mid week and it was quite quiet. Don't know how busy it gets at the weekend.

We went for a day on our last trip and we absolutely loved it. Easy to find/park, good facilities, beautiful beach.
It was incredible to see the pelicans swooping down to catch their lunch! Would go back in an instant.

Are there places to eat there or would you take a picnic?

Take a picnic, there are benches in the shade and BBQ stands available for your use.

I don't think there is anywhere there to buy from.

We visited and it was like our own private paradise. We'll be heading back a bit better prepared this summer. There is a concession/shop from what I recall but a picnic would be much nicer. We'll probably take snorkels this time as they water was crystal clear and I'm sure there were plenty of fish.
