KLM help

Hi all

klms website states this

1. Rebook your flight
Change your travel dates
You may change your travel dates without having to pay the change fee, as described in your ticket conditions.
You can change your travel dates if the same booking class is available. If you change to a different booking class, you’ll need to pay the fare difference.
Change your destination
You may use the full value of your original tickets for new tickets on KLM, Air France, Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic, and Kenya Airways flights.
You will not have to pay the change fee.

Does this mean i can book any ticket and be able to change if needed

I changed our VA flights booked through KLM last week from 30 July 2020 to Feb 2021.

It took 3 phone calls and on 2 of them they didn't seem to know what they were doing.

If I understood correctly, you can change to a date up to 30 November for free, but change to a later date and you have to pay any fare difference.

My new tickets are actually cheaper so I am owed and have been told that I should receive a voucher for the amount of my credit.

the problem im having is im planning august next year but i have been given tickets to the superbowl which is in feb. so i was planning on booking flights for feb but if for some reason the superbowl doesnt happen i would change them to august

Just wondering if that is something i would be able to do

I'm not sure you will be permitted 2 changes. Check with them re terms and conditions first before committing as not every airline is offering the same.

Could you request a voucher?Once you know if superbowl going ahead , then book?
Only prob is the length of time its taking some airlines to issue vouchers.

i dont have flights booked at all at the moment, would be booking for feb so would only require 1 change

Yes you will be able to.

I've booked 27th February with KLM and spoke to them on messenger to check the rebook policy first. If I want to change I just use the rebook option on my account online or phone them. I explained I'd probably want to change to October/November and they said that would be fine.
