Disney Annual Pass partial refund

We activated our Gold AP's (bought with DVC discount) 30th May last year

Our trip for the end of April was cancelled and our passes have just run out

What is the best way of getting a refund ?

Tried the AP VIP phone line and can't get through... just on hold forever

Has anyone had any luck getting a partial refund ?

I phoned the VIP number and got through without too much of a wait (about 8pm)

I asked when I was likely to received the refund and was told it wouldn't be until the staff could return to their office to work.
