Has anyone switched from collecting Virgin Miles to collecting Avios?

I collect Avios whenever I can currently have way to many due to refunds, I have also been collecting Virgin miles when I need to use a Mastercard but have converted my Virgin Miles to Hilton points.

Some friends who have stopped using Virgin card and have decided to be Avios collectors instead.

What are you collecting for future travel?

I have about 40k on my Amex gold which I normally exchange to virgin miles and I am keeping them exactly where they are until I know virgin are definitely staying around.

Yep - I have just switched. I had 60k points on my AmEx that I was about to transfer to Virgin Flyer miles. Now on Avios. Am stopping collecting Virgin points after the recent debacle.
But I do have several hundred thousand Virgin points that I will start to run down as soon as I am able.

I've changed my Tesco Clubcard auto exchange from VS airmiles to Avios.

Do you use for miles and money and not straight reward tickets? I only use for full reward tickets and mainly with a companion voucher for a good deal. Never done miles and money.

I fly very rarely - less than 10 times in my 56 years and that includes Easyjet - so haven't got many.

Edited at 09:45 PM.

I collect both n try to keep them at around the same numbers as at present so for the next few months I will use DH's Virgin card to top his miles up to nearer mine.

Yes I have done this. Collected Virgin miles for about 20 years, and hardly ever flew with BA. Now only collecting Avios.
