2021 or 2022?

We had a Florida holiday booked for August this year but decided a while ago now that we want to reschedule; initially we thought 2021 but given the recent updates from Disney we're still not confident that it will have resumed normality by next year.

So my question is this... are you rescheduling now to 2021 or are you beginning the long wait until 2022 (I soo wish they would allow bookings that far in advance!)

I have the money to book whenever.

Next year will be better, but there is an economic slump coming worse than anything we have ever seen in our lives. The high street and other sectors were just hanging on when people were free to shop as they wished.

Restaurants, pubs, cinemas, gyms etc will have to have reduced capacity because of the 2m rule, therefore less customers, therefore less staff.

Then you will have people who got an economic wake up whilst furloughed realising they haven’t enough savings, suddenly keeping their cash.

Then people like me who have realised we don’t need to purchase so much rubbish, and have realised we have been just fine and saved a fortune. Am example - I was going to Costa everyday. I won’t be again.

It would to be foolhardy at this point to throw £££££ at a huge holiday, especially with the new rules in place. I would advise anyone to be very careful.

Edited at 03:52 PM.

Other. I'm hoping to get to Orlando this September as planned but not necessarily Disney.

I didnt have a Disney holiday planned for this year - but I want to go next year - so in response to the OP - I will be booking for 2021 (once flights become available and when Im certain 2021 WILL go ahead) irrespective of any economic slump that may be in the offing. With retirement looming I intend to return to Florida.

We were meant to go this August but have rescheduled for next August and have transferred our deposit across. I am also looking to book a holiday for Easter (not disney) as the deposit is only £50pp. Whilst it’s a risk, I think we can’t put our lives on hold for ever and things will need to get back to normal at some point .

2021. Only because this year has been such a write-off that I couldn't bear to wait yet another year. That said, who knows what new systems and restrictions will still be in place. Nothing can be changed about that anyway, so providing the 'new' Disney isn't too far removed from what we had before then it'll be 2021 (the inevitable rising prices permitting!)

Probably 2022. Had to cancel this year's trip and were hoping to rebook for 2021 but can only do Easter and worried that may be too soon. Now toying with the idea of alternative trips in 2021 and leaving WDW until 2022 - when Covid-19 is all but a distant memory and Epcot is all refurbished... a girl can dream

I put not sure yet, as we were thinking of other things for 2021, but we might sneak a Disney trip in during December 2021.

We’ve already got a DCL European trip booked for next August so Florida won’t be until 2022 now. I wouldn’t mind fitting in a short trip in 2021, maybe Universal only, but DS didn’t enjoy the flight last time so isn’t keen unless it’s for a longer time.
