US bookings resort changes by Disney. Rescheduled/Relocated Resort.

Just been reading on a US web site about guest that are being moved to different Disney resorts and here's a few examples, seems no logic in some of the moves but I suppose it's what's available, most are for June & July.

Original resort CBR for 3 adults and 1 child. Moved to SSR 2BR Villa.

Original Resort: Standard CBR. Moved to OKW 2BR Villa.

Original resort Pop Century 2 Adults. Moved to: SSR Grand Villa

Original resort preferred CBR. 3 Adults moved to SSR 2BR Villa

Original resort Pop Century 2 Adults . Moved to Old Key West studio.

Original resort Caribbean Beach Resort Water-view. Moved to Saratoga Springs 2BR Villa.

Original resort Caribbean Beach Resort King room. Moved to Old Key West 1 BR Villa.

Original resort POP Preferred Room. Moved to: Animal Kingdom Kidani Studio Savannah View.

Original resort at Jambo House studio. Moved to 1BR Villa at Kidani

Maybe this is because, initially, they're only opening DVC resorts...? Some great swaps although if you specifically booked a Skyliner resort like CBR or Pop, you might not be happy to be somewhere less accessible.

I'm on a couple of facebook groups and some on there had been moved from CBR to the Polynesian I then thought about going despite the changes

This is partly what is stopping me from cancelling. We are booked into Gran Destino, which apparently will be taken over by the NBA so they will have to move us... dreaming of AKL

So far it's just been the people whos stays are before 11th July being switched to DVC resorts. I know they haven't announced when the rest of the hotels are opening, but I would think some of them are. Would make sense to have the Skyliner resorts open at least I think.

I've seen the NBA could be there til 12th October so I think you'll definitely get moved to a deluxe! Hopefully you'll find out soon.

We went to Coronado last year (not tower though) and I wouldn't swap the tower for AKL the tower was stunning.

We are booked to stay at CBR. I would have thought Disney would prioritise reopening CBR as it’s on the skyliner.

I just don't think this is okay!

It's great if you are the person who has booked in at pop or CBR and getting the upgraded resort (ignoring any location issues for the moment) but what if you paid the standard SSR rate which for a grand villa is significantly higher!?

The answer to this was explained to you at length on another thread after you raised this issue there. I myself said that I have 5 complimentary nights at the Polynesian but no one will know I haven't paid for the room. It happens all the time. Have you seen the Trivago ad where 2 people check into the same hotel but pay different prices?
