Mobile phones

So just trying to weigh up our options...do we try to get a mobile phone sim at home which covers USA or do we buy cheap and new for our stay? Any ideas/costs gratefully appreciated.

I always buy the 3 sim card , it's great and they have many data packages and you will not pay any extra to use your mobile as you would in the UK . You just need to remember to cancel the contract a couple of days after you activate it as it is in a 30 day contract and you have to give 30 days notice to cancel but there is no hassle doing this just give 3 a call and cancel . I have an android phone and worked fine on my my son had an iPhone and unless they are unlocked which finding out take weeks we could not use one in his phone , so I would just check your phone is suitable .

What network do you use in the UK? EE has a good option if you’re on EE. Otherwise I would use 3.
