Like many companies, Disney will already been planning reopening. They will have a solid plan in place before they even get the 2 month warning. Then they will have 2 months to get staff notified and recruited.
The parks/shops/restaurants are use to opening each day from closed. The hotels are use to a massive influx and rotation of guests. What they are not use to is not having a huge stock of fresh produce. After many months closed they will need an extra huge delivery of fresh produce to get going.

I’m in two minds about this.
My husband and I were supposed to be doing the DLP half marathon in September but our flights were with Flybe so on the one hand I’d like for everything to be cancelled so we get all our money back but on the other hand I really want to go. |

We're booked to go in August, I'm in two minds. On the one hand obviously it would be lovely to go, but what restrictions are going to be needed? Pre vaccine it's got to be some measure of distancing and additional hygiene I guy and also testing and contact tracing.
France may be ready but will the UK be? Its going to be different isn't it. Not sure I want to do Disney with masks and temperature checks and social distancing. It feels a bit sad. |

There was someone interviewed on the BBC as few days back, I think it was the Italian Health Minister, they were saying it's unlikely venues that host a lot of people will fully reopen until a vaccine has been developed.
They were talking about bars, theatres, cinema etc but the same is bound to hold true for Disney. I think the only thing we know for certain at the minute is no-one is certain of anything. In my opinion the world cant social distance for years. It'll be a balancing act between returning to normal and increased cases. As long as the increased cases don't exceed the capacity of the health services then we will be allowed to return to normal. Even though that will mean more deaths than if we remain isolated. |
