Some light hearted comparisons!
Out with the old Dreams
Which is your favourite and what is your favourite part? For us, Dreams was much better and Tangled was our favourite part. |

Dreams far better and loved Dreams christmas. It had more of a story and flow to it compared to Illuminations.

Dreams was developed specifically for DLP to fit our castle. Illuminations is from Shanghai Disney, and it shows. Partly because it doesn't make use of the shape of the castle, and partly because it was designed to introduce Disney characters to an audience who didn't grow up with them - so it's more 'here's a character' than a story.

Dreams is much better than Illuminations!
When we first visited DLP (March 2015) we were aware that something special happened at night. We made sure that we didn't see any footage before we saw the event live, so as to maximise the effect. Well, the first time we saw Dreams, we were blown away, it was fantastic. On our third trip (May 2017) we'd heard that the nighttime spectacular had changed from Dreams to Illuminations. So like before, we didn't look at any footage before our trip so that we'd again get the maximum effect. We did, but compared to Dreams, Illuminations is plain awful. I'm so glad that my wife and I have seen Disney Dreams live! Isn't it about time DLP replaced Illuminations with a better nighttime spectacular, better even than Dreams? Regards,
