Universal Survey

Has anyone else had a survey from Universal asking you on your thoughts of 2 day 2 park tickets for $280 or 3 day and 3 park tickets for $380?

I was asked my opinion of the value of these tickets but it took me a while to get my jaw off the floor. Currently its sub £300 for 14 days. With the cost of flights, accommodation going up for next year, if tickets rise astronomically to make up this year's cost we will be priced out

Yeah I got one too. I think TBH the survey is aimed at the American market as you cannot buy a fourteen day ticket out there.
However I would have to agree that the cost of Universal tickets continues to increase at a ridiculous rate. In 2015 we paid £125 for a two park 14 day ticket, the same ticket in 2020 is £289, an increase of 131% which is just staggering.

That large rise would have been because of Volcano Bay, irrespective of whether you buy a 2 day or 3 day.
For us, we go with Universal rather than Disney (too expensive for both) especially with the ever increasing parking charges for both. Will stick with Universal when we can go again. Hope they don’t move to 2 day/3 day😥

I do understand the reason for the initial astronomical increase was volcano bay but the per per day/per park it now works out disney is cheaper for us. 5 days at universal is enough for us if we stay at HRH for 1 night for FOLP (another cost for which I'm happy with 3 fps for free) but disney we can happily do 14 days without blinking so the per day/per park means disney for us is the more economical choice.

I love theme parks but I worry soon we won't be able to afford to go

The £289 ticket quoted does not gain access to Volcano Bay, it is for Universal/IOA only.

Wow really! That's kind of disappointing, at least volcano bay was a reason. I guess they added some rides but really most are 3D style that I just don't get along with for the most part.

Now I know the three park ticket is exactly the same price, however if you only want to go to the two major parks it is a steep price to pay. God only knows how much the ticket prices will increase to when the new park is open
