Online Check In Alamo

Hi

I have booked through a TA for our flight and car, ive had the paperwork and tried to do skip the counter. It didn't work, the TA says its part of Alamos policy that you cant skip the counter through a third party booking? Is this right? I have a reference number but no barcode?

thanks

Hoping Mr Morrow spots this as he hires Alamo four times a year. From a previous similar question he confirmed that you can do STC when booked with all third party brokers.

Usual TA rubbish that's becoming more common on the DIBB

Mr Morrow has a link which I'm sure he'll post

I'm tied up this evening - not literally!
However it's the usual TA crap we see all the time. All bookings no matter who they have been made by are capable of doing OLCI and skip the counter.

We booked Alamo through uscarhire.com and have done skip the counter for our November trip.

We did an online check in on the Alamo site using uscarhire confirmation number.

Just to add that the bar code is the end of the process. It's what you get after you've done OLCI/STC which are basically the same thing.

I always do it via Alamo Brits or DFCH where you simply stay on the web site and do it in a couple of clicks. This is the form that I fill in though - worth a try. I should say though that the "confirmation number" I use is an Alamo one.

Any wonder why I haven't been inside a TA since 1990

Hope they didn't tell you that you need 6 months grace on your passport and an International Driver's Permit as well did they.
