Best place to stay for idrive and universal ?
hi all,
in the early stages to planning our next trip 2020 can anyone recommend where to stay for 2nd week of our trip , 1st week will be onsite at WDW, the second week will be visting US , DS, SW and maybe some shopping malls n things we never did on our first trip in 2017 i was thinking we would like to see idrive and all it has to offer ? (didnt see any of it last time as then stayed at RPR then drove to clear water for a week) but still be able to get to above places, we wont have a car at this point so decent shuttles or central area would be bonus! though happy to use the occasional uber but want to be in walking distance of restuarants for evenings etc. tia

Rosen inn pointe is a great location on idrive, lots to eat drink and do. They also have a shuttle to universal.

Anything around the Pointe area as said above is great for restaurants. The Rosen Plaza is nicer than the Rosen Inn- depends what type of accomodation you're looking for.

Rosen Inn International. Cannot fault it. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.

Vista Cay for condos.
Next year Universal are opening Endless Summer Surfside Inn (and another the year after) on iDrive where you can get a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen for $150 a night. I'll be one of the first to stay there next August.

Rosen Plaza and Avanti Resort are nicely placed for both, albeit very basic but clean and quite cheap but I would say better than most others in that price range

The Avanti pool area looks lovely, but just watch their resort fees when pricing it up. All of the Rosen properties don't charge a resort fee
