Disney will furlough US Cast Members from 19 April

Disney are paying their US cast members up to 18 April then from 19 April more than 40,000 will be furloughed.

The unions have worked deals with Disney for the cast members to retain health insurance and other benefits.

"Those impacted will remain Disney employees through the duration of the furlough period, and once the period ends, they will get to return to their same roles and locations. They will be eligible to receive an extra $600 per week in federal compensation through the $2 trillion economic stimulus bill alongside state unemployment insurance."

Around 200 Disney employees considered essential will continue to work at the parks. They include members of custodian and housekeeping staff.

Expected I guess in the longer term, but another indicator of how bleak the immediate future looks. Im glad they are being looked after though.
