Hoping to go next year and this looks amazing- Otters are one of my all time favourite animals so this is just one more thing for me to use when trying to sell DC to my DBF

We were there on Friday 30th of June and it had just opened . The marmosets are on a small island that you can swim around - but they are not used to the public yet so they were hiding most of the time. However a staff member had on on her hand and was standing in the water with it so that you could swim up and have a close look. There were staff around as some large birds were circling high above and there seemed to be some concerns that they would try to take a monkey (they are very small). The otter section was really lovely. It's in a kind of a cave and you could go under the water and look at them swimming (through a perspex wall - not with them!), which was really beautiful. They are very playful and there was a member of staff there also who knew a lot about them, so it was very interesting.
Btw - we went for a non-dolphin swim day and it was still a wonderful day. We were a wee bit jealous of those swimming with the dolphins, but they came up really close to us on the beach which was really exciting. The ray pool is AMAZING, Avairy wonderful (go early before the birds get full), food not bad at all, and the place generally was great. Well worth the money. |

Thanks for the review bluescot (and others).
One question - could a non swimmer get close to the marmosets and the otters? |
