Think you could be right. DW and I have the dreaded lurgy for the last week to ten days. Doesn't seem to want to move.

I've been having this conversation for a couple of weeks now!... I posted before to say I was admitted to hospital just after Christmas (after first being told at out of hours on Christmas day that I had a pulled muscle... Twice that week! ) with really severe pneumonia and pleurisy. As I've started getting out a bit more (it's really floored me and I've been told 3-6 months for full tecovery) I've heard of so many people in their 30's and 40's who have also had pneumonia, although not hospitalised with it. I know someone now who is really struggling respitory wise and she has now been tested for coronavirus but it was negative. In wondering whether its some mutated strain though that won't show up in testing or what would have shown up if I had been tested. As far as I can see my symptoms were exactly as the corinovirus is described!

I think Corona virus has a dry cough? This lurgy was a wet phlegmy cough that went on and on for me...

I'm finally better now-it went on for at least 3 months on and off.

I did have proper flu a couple years ago, it definitely wasnt as bad as that by a long shot but the flu was cleared up in about 3 weeks.

Was beginning to wonder about this as had cold/virus from end Oct to new year didn’t bother going to the dr as didn’t think it would help (my dr’s are useless so puts me off going)
I’m better now but have to agree that I think you are right

It makes you wonder doesn't it. How would you know if you had/have it. How will it be diagnosed over the phone it you self isolate..
Will employers just accept you ringing in with symptoms before a diagnosis, what about sickness policies etc.

So I managed to finally get rid of my cough in February, 4 months after it first start and I have come down with the he most horrific cold. I’ve had it 8 days now and still really suffering. I thought I was getting better on Sunday and then the headache is back, back to not sleeping well. I think I have sinusitis now. I have so much uni work to do and I just cannot concentrate for more than 5 minutes at a time 😩

You poor thing, I wish you well. X

I had a routine appointment with my GP yesterday (not the one I saw in December) and mentioned I am still coughing a bit and have dizziness if I turn to the right. She has diagnosed sinusitis and given me antibiotics.

I think myself, my staff and a good two thirds of my clients have had corona or still have it! Literally from last September onwards there have been that many people with coughs, colds, sore throats, aches, pains, shivers, sweats, chest infections, pneumonia etc etc, there’s a good chance at least some of them had/have Corona! No one was testing for it before January, doesn’t mean nobody had it!
