We love a villa, for many different reasons. The relaxation from having all you need very close by ie food, drinks, pool, sun beds you don’t have to leave a towel on . It gives you a lot more privacy, and the freedom to do things at a time that suits you. This year we have booked a villa that sleeps 12 but there will be five or nine of us depending on if DS and family can join us. They are not pressurised into making a decision as the room is there for them if they can use it.

Lots of great reasons already but staying in a villa is definitely part of the fun of being in Orlando. Plenty of space, I love being able to swim when I want or take my kindle to the hot tub! No waiting your turn for the shower. Great if you have kids so you can still have an evening if they are tired and need an early night.
Best of all, you can go to publix and buy $200 worth of toiletries, juice, alcohol, ice cream in flavours you have never had, snacks and anything else that takes your fancy. It's just fab and I would never stay in a hotel in Orlando. Em xxxx |

This thread just makes me even more excited! I’ve read so many posts recently (many on FB) about staying in hotels to get dining plans or special passes and I wondered if we’d done the right thing, so this makes it better.
We have done the harder thing of booking a hotel room right at the end but that’s because it was the better way to deal with the indirect flights. So for us it’s villa Orlando, villa Clearwater then hotel in DC. |

We love a villa for all of the reasons stated here. It’s just so relaxing. No worries about the maid knocking and waking you up, you can be watching tv while everyone else is swimming, eating and drinking what you fancy when you fancy it, arriving home without any dirty clothes in your suitcase, being in the pool within 2 minutes of the car pulling up on the drive, sitting out by the pool in the dark enjoying a glass of wine.
I’m sure there are many more, can you tell we just love a villa?

All of the above are great reasons but I'd add freedom (depending what hotel you stay at). If on Disney property you have a bit of a drive off to get to a lot better value restaurants. We wouldn't miss going to places like Millers, Bahamas Breeze, Kobe, Chili's etc. This is one of the things we enjoy the most about our holidays!

Nothing to add to what Mick has said
We did Hotel our first trip then 2 bedroom apartment at LBV which was better than a hotel room But having done a villa for 3 weeks on our last trip that is definitely the way forward for us Our next trip will definitely be a villa again

Guys for many others you have listed reasons not to have a villa, but as long as we all enjoy ourselves.

Only two of us but we prefer a 3 bed villa so that we can spread out. Happy for family to join us if they can. But the main thing is freedom of choice to eat, drink swim, laundry when ever you are inclined.
