Angry with DVC

Just had a look at the gold crown properties and found animal kingdom villas, saratoga and old key west were mentioned?

so you could deposit your points and book up to 2 years in advance to stay in 1 of these properties for a week? Is that how it works?

The official policy is that borrowed points will go back to their use year. It says so on the DVC webpage. Any one getting a different needs to remind member services of the change. The webpage is dated the 18th March.If it was any difference then the webpage would have been updated.

I quoted this to the person i spoke to and they said it only applies to people with reservations in the next 30 days.

They must simply be getting overwhelmed with this situation. I have had multiple people a week ago cancel and get their points unborrowed. These were for reservations for out. Things have changed so quickly.

I had mine unborrowed for an April booking, I did it on the 17th over chat.

Brilliant- am very pleased for you. I cancelled on 13th the day before check in so if they are sorting in order maybe mine will be sorted tomorrow ! 😃

This has always been the policy.. I did say this last week...

I think this is the status but as they don't want to hear from anyone with a booking post March 31st I haven't spoken to them directly yet. I had a big family holiday planned so used banked points from last year (a little over 30 points) and used all of this years allocation plus most of next years allocation. So even if Disney is shut and I can't use my points so I lose all but the points from next years allocation - I have a June use year.
