Ironing What Do You Do First?

So I start with the easy stuff jeans and t shirts.
I leave shirts until last cos they take more dealing with!

What order do you do your ironing?

I start with the largest item first down to the smallest last. Each family member has their own pile so they can put it away.

I have my ironing board set up next to the drier in the garage full time. There is a door into the garage from the hall so it’s easy. I fold things as soon as they come out of the drier as that way many things don’t need ironing. Things that do I iron straight away and they go back in the wardrobes. In the summer when I am line drying I do the same, iron as soon as dry. That way I never have a pile of ironing to do and I find it much easier as it only takes a few minutes at a time.

Pillowcases, T shirts, then shirts. Hate ironing!

I sort it into each person's washing then iron one pile at a time putting it all away in one room or airing cupboard at a time

DH’s work shirts, then t-shirts, jeans, my clothes, then turn the iron down to do jumpers/delicates. I don’t iron duvets, pillows.

I try to iron as little as possible so only get the ironing board out every 2 weeks but always leave shirts and golf trousers to last

My mother very rarely irons. When my children were little they asked if that was her ironing board in the cupboard. She would tell them "no it's my surfboard"😁.
