We got our mortgage offer yesterday :)

I feel very guilty for feeling so happy at the moment but this has been a long time coming for us.

After 2 years of paying off debts and saving, we have finally got our mortgage offer for our perfect house and cannot wait to become homeowners.

As both of us are front line NHS workers (Emergency Medical Technician and Midwife), this news has been most welcomed due to the amount of pressure we are under at the moment.

I am so happy for you. You shouldn't feel guilty, it doesn't mean you don't care and being front line NHS you are closer to it than many of us. House is due to be completely finished by the end of April so about 6 weeks to go before we move x

Congratulations! Such an exciting time for you. It'll be good to have something other than your work to focus on when you get some down time.

I totally understand how big a deal it is, so don't feel guilty. It also took us a long time to get to a position where we could get our mortgage. We were so emotional when it was approved that the mortgage advisor started crying along with us!
