What's an acceptable flight delay?

We booked a trip to New York for a few nights next year, when we booked the flight landed at 13.15 in JFK, but today I got an email about a change in flight times and now we land at 19.05!

Can they change the flight that we booked by this amount of time? And is so do we have any rights to get a refund?

Call them. I guess it depends on the airline and the t&Cs..

When Norwegian did this (Tromso flight) a few years ago they put in an email we have changed your flight. Because more than 2 hours (i think it got us there 7 hours later). they changed it to the flight the day before with no additional cost to us. The flight the day before alone cost nearly the same I as I had paid the the return flights for the 3 of us...)

They do have the right to do this as it is so far away. It happens fairly frequently and is nothing new. You can either accept the change or ask for a full refund. No other compensation is due.

If itís next year I would guess the flights are going to change again due to the current context.
