There are two levels of IFE with Thomas Cook with those in Economy having to pay five or six pounds per person to upgrade.

Most of our long haul flights have been with TC and they have been perfectly fine. In fact the one thing that draws us to TC is the seating layout - there is only 2 of us travelling and their seat configuration is 2-4-2 (on all the ones we've flown on). You also have the option to upgrade your entertainment package if you want the full range of films (personally we think this should be included in the price). From what I recall it's around £5 pp each way.
We're flying with them this year and again, next year 👍. |

I’ve decided on Thomas Cook and here are my reasons
Yes Virgin offer you free drinks, free entertainment etcetc, but their prices are , as of today, much higher than TC. So for me, whilst it’s free at the point of use, it’s just built into the flight costs when you pay. IE. Many people have tablets, iapads etc , myself and my daughter both have iPads and both have portable chargers, my grandson will not be restricted to what TC or VIrgin offer him, odds are he’ll want his toy story game or PJ masks Seat allocation, again by adding in preferred seats we are guaranteed sitting together, yes it’s extra , but again the total price is still less than Virgin Major point for me is destination airport. Both fly into MCO, so we can take advantage of magical bus. Both have the same seat pitches Thomas Cook won out because we are saving about £350 pounds ( based on this years prices) because again Thomas Cook have released flight prices for next year, Virgin don’t until next month, and for me, tying this all up at a good price is more important than anything else I’ll report back next May on my experience. Generally I’ve seen nothing but ambivalence to praise for TC same for Virgin, although virgin do seem to have a real negative presence on the web. I personally think people will love Virgin love BA,love TC others will hate them. It’s only when things go wrong people complain. Providing the plane leaves y arrived safely that’s my concern. I say that as a regular Ryan air traveller Edited at 06:51 AM. |
