Breakfast using snack credits at AKL?

Hi, this year we are staying onsite for the first time - at Animal Kingdom Lodge - and using the DDP for the first time too. I'd like to use snack credits for breakfasts most days, saving our QS for lunch and TS for dinner. Are there any restaurants at AKL where we can use some snack credits to get a super quick breakfast before heading to the parks? Or do most of the parks have snack places open early where we can use snack credits for little breakfasts like coffee and pastries?

(I know lots of people keep snacks in the room for breakfasts but husband not too keen on the idea!)

Thank you

The Mara disneyworld.disney.go/en...ge/mara/menus/ seems to do the usual breakfast fare.

The entrees will be 1 QS with a drink. Or the bakery/additional items and drinks with be snack credits. Of course there's the resort mug for 'free' drinks.

You can also get 3 'snacks' to 1 QS.

We stayed in April and did what you describe, used snack credits for breakfast

We went to the Mara and they always had a huge variety of things to have. My absolute favourite was the banana nut bread, it was so good I had it several times. They also have the usual muffins, danishes, cinnamon rolls etc

I always have a problem taking the resort mugs to breakfast or other meals . It means a trip back to the room so you can't just walk to the bus stop , or you are carrying them around with you all day . What do other people do ?

We hardly use ours for this exact reason - we'd never carry them around. Usually we fill them once through the day, and once at night to use in our room. Maybe more if we go to the pool.

We have a couple of carabiner clips attached to a small rucksack and take our mugs out with us each day. Great when you pop into another hotel to have a cool down and a rest... also if we walk between HS and Epcot we pop into Boardwalk Bakery for a cold drink.

The strawberry scones are good too, my DH liked those.

They have a bakery section to get pastries, muffins etc from.

Epcot French bakery is very good too and opens first thing before rest of world showcase.

Gastons in MK does huge cinnamon rolls.
