Virgin Holidays car hire and’skip the line’

Has anyone recently booked Car hire only through Virgin then done Alamo skip the line?
When I went in December I had a link in my email which allowed me to do online check in and skip the line. This time my email is quite different and I can’t see a link to do it. The Virgin reference doesn’t work if I go straight to Alamo online check in.
Any ideas?

I think you only get the details to do this closer to the time - I seem to remember reading this via the details listed in our booking as we are booked through them and similar timescale judging by your countdown.

That reminds me - better pay the balance as due by the end of the week 😂

Just looked on the app and guess the details for us to do this will be there month before departure (see below).

I think when booking through Virgin Holidays they make you wait for your docs but Virgin Atlantic send you them straight away after booking/paying.

My reference number worked straight away and I did OLCI and skip the counter months before my docs were ready.

I booked through Virgin Holidays and have done online check in today just under a year out. Go to manage your booking on VH website. Click Holiday Details, scroll down to your car hire details and use the VH Alamo link. You don't need to wait until nearer the time or wait for your documents to be ready. It will work as long as it's not over a year away as it won't be in the system until then.

Can you tell me if you are using the app or the desktop website? Maybe that makes a difference?

I was using the desktop on my iPad. There is a telephone number to call if you have an issue on the Alamo link through Virgin Holidays . Open 9am to 5.30pm.

The link should look like this when you go to manage your booking.

It should take you to this.

The confirmation E Mail from Virgin always had a bold link to go to Alamo and do OLCI.
Now they don't, but if you scroll down to the bottom there is a non bold link that does work.

I booked for March 19 and within 24 hours could do OLCI and that was in early April.
