We were there! We viewed from Space View Park at Titusville and drive from
Champions Gate. Hour and half drive there

We viewed it from Titusville as well. Was an amazing thing to see. We arrived early as everything I read said to get there early, but even as the rocket launched there was plenty of space to park and view it.

It was great to see - so glad that we made the effort to go. It was a beautiful morning. We viewed it from the Space Park View too.

Couldn't believe how loud it was even from that distance!

Not recommended for safety reasons but we went in July 2016 and drove down for the launch (around midnight) and then back up. We didn’t manage to get to where we planned for the viewing due to the time and as we approached the area, we did the same as everyone else - pulled over on the freeway. There were police sitting in the middle of the two directions just keeping an eye on things (seems to be something they’re used to).
Well worth the drive, it’s truly an experience you can’t replicate.

Mum and I saw a space shuttle launch in the late 1990’s, it was almost midnight by the time it went. Our hotel ran a mini bus trip and as it was dark when we got there I couldn’t tell you where we pulled up, apart from it was just off the road and near a river ( I kept a look out for alligators !)

It was a fabulous experience.
