I have used Ultrasun sun protection for years but this year tried the Factor 30 lip protection... it’s fab!

I have suffered from cold sores for many years and get aciclovir cream on prescription. I use Uvistat spf 50 Lip protection whenever out in the sun. Available from Boots

Unfortunately Sue, whilst Vaseline is good for keeping lips kissably soft (have I made the grade for a sickly advert here girl? ), it isn't optimised as sun screen, hence why himself suffers terribly without slapping on Spf. The sore he had that left him badly scarred was wicked, he couldn't shave that area for weeks. Unfortunately he's a begger for forgetting his lip balm, once he's in the pool I shove it under my hat so he can regularly apply.
