Lovely walk but watch out for snakes. We saw a few (I think they were the black racer ones) DH nearly stood on one as it was curled up/snoozing on the path. They weren't a problem and move away when you approach you just need to watch where you are walking.

Are there really snakes on the path from RPR to IOA?
If there are is there a specific time of day?
I really hate snakes so can see me using the water taxi instead!,

Did it twice a day every day for a week and no we did not see any snakes! I am sure the majority of people do not.

We’ve stayed at RPR 3 times and never seen a snake.

We've stayed a few times. Only even seen one snake at a hotel and that was HRH. Opened the door to leave and it actually came in! It was tiny and dealt with immediately.

I have stayed at HRH 2 or 3 times but am considering RPR or Portofino for 1 night as not too much in price difference at the moment... Are they further back than HRH, is it on the water taxi route, I can't remember for the life of me

Yes RPR further than HRH.
PFB further than RPR.
Both on water taxi.

I would always walk from HRH, nearly always walk from RPR and probably would only go by water taxi to PFB (but only visited once to be nosy so there may be a quicker walking route I didn't see).

RPR is similar distance to HRH, PB is about an extra ten minutes. I could not walk from Portofino every day in Florida heat (although we did the odd time) whereas we walked there and back twice a day from RPR. They all have boats.

Hi. So back now after a great holiday.

We had planned a one night stay at the RPR for the passes.
The walk from hotel to city walk was a really nice walk or boat ride. Didn’t see any snakes! Nice level walk which we did in the mornings and boat back.

We liked it so much we decided to do another 1 night stay later in the holiday. Even managed to use the pool which is nice.

Would recommend the RPR for universal. Great stay 😀
