We saw one of those in action in Planet Hollywood last year. It was at the side entrance to the casino (by Sephora). We watched for a bit and it was pretty slow.
ETA - just checked and it’s still there. It’s called Tipsy Robot. Edited at 08:47 AM. |

Carnival cruises are looking to introduce something along those lines on their new ship, Iona.

As an aside to robotification if that is the correct word, we just stayed in Aventura hotel. They have 3 robots wondering around the lobby. They even go back to their base stations to recharge. I thought it was a nice gimmick as they have snacks in them which when they stop, people can press a button, top opens and they have sweets in. Needless to say, kids loved this.
However on last day of our stay, the robot got in the lift. We thought it had gone wrong and driven in by accident. However it then put up a message saying it was taking something to floor 4. It then triggered the lift to stop at floor 4 and drove out when it stopped! Apparently they were taking food and towels to rooms, when they arrive at the room, the room door opens. No tip required! Edit- this is the same as the ones in Universal Aventura hotel:

In Milton Keynes we already have delivery robots driving around the pavements delivering small food shops, takeaways etc. they’re really cute and remind me of WallE!
It does make me smile when I’m driving home and they are all queueing up to cross the road.

They have been for a while. I don’t live in MK only work there and I check the app for them frequently in the hope they’ll expand it a bit further. I quite fancy having my lunch delivered by one!
