Santa Barbara

Hi,

Does anyone have any hotel recommendations for Santa Barbara?

I am looking for something moderate, preferably with free parking that is fairly central.

Also any recommendations for things to do in Santa Barbara? We are planning 1 night.

Thanks in advance x

Santa Barbara is a lovely place.

My recommendation would be to park on Anacapa or Chapala street (most parking lots are free for 4 hours or all day - we always park at 1115 Anacapa) and walk around the Downtown area. The Santa Barbara Courthouse (also free) is a lovely place to visit. I would try to not make too much of an itinerary and just potter around the town, beach and harbour side.

Following advice on here we changed our 1 night stop in SB to 2 nights. I’m really looking forward to it as it sounds like a lovely, chilled out place. We’ve booked Harbor House Inn based on tripadvisor reviews and the decent price.

We stayed in the pepper tree in, little out of town but just jumped on the bus which was very reasonable and ran regularly
Loved Santa Barbara and really wished we had more time there

We stayed at Harbor House Inn 2 years ago and have booked again for next month, we loved it and can't wait. Santa Barbara is a gorgeous place to just chill out in and Harbor House is really central but in a really quiet location, perfect.
