From Chicago to LA by car and train - August 2017

Me - holiday planner, Disney fan, chief organiser
DH - driver, bemused follower of holiday plans
DS - aged 7, happy, boisterous, Lego and Star Wars obsessed. Hates Frozen

Our long awaited, 3 years in the planning 10th anniversary holiday had arrived. Everything was going well until DS came down with tonsillitis 5 days before we flew! So as well as the 3 of us we had a bottle of antibiotics to look after too!

Day 0 - travel to Radisson Blu, Manchester Airport
Day 1 - fly to Chicago
Day 2 - Chicago
Day 3 - All aboard the Southwest Chief
Day 4 - on board the train and a late arrival in Flagstaff
Day 5 - Sedona and Lowell Observatory
Day 6 - Route 66
Day 7 - Doctor, Pharmacy and journey to the Grand Canyon
Day 8 - Grand Canyon, flat tire, arrival at Zion
Day 9 and day 10 - Zion Canyon National Park
Day 11 - drive to Las Vegas and Cirque du Soleil LOVE
Day 12 - Las Vegas
Day 13 - drive to Anaheim and Disneyland
Day 14 - Radiator Springs here we come
Day 15 - Goofy's Kitchen and drive to Newport Beach
Day 16 - An ill-fated day at the beach
Day 17 - exploring Orange County shopping malls by bus!
Day 18 - Legoland California
Day 19 - Disneyland
Days 20-21 - Fly home

Well life kind of got in the way of finishing this trip report!

However, as I'm now researching the next holiday I have to finish this one. Following posts won't be as detailed as it was so long ago but hopefully it'll still be relevant!
