How much to gift for a wedding?
I'm one of my best friend's bridesmaids at her upcoming wedding where they have asked for money towards their honeymoon. What's the etiquette on how much we should gift? I was thinking in the region of £75. She's the first out of our friendship group to get married so I'm unsure of what the norm is these days!

my best friend bridesmaid gave me £100 and my sister bought my cake, as I did for her.
Most people who came to full wedding either gave £50 or £100 and most people who came at night time only gave £25 or £50

I was a bridesmaid to my best friend last month and gave her $150 for her honeymoon which was around £110.

I agree £75 is fine - I would be happy with that!
I might give more if they were an extra special friend - maybe £100. We went to my DS friends wedding (long story) and we gave them £30 - if it was one of MY friends it would be £50 or more. Katie x |

£75 is fine but really if you couldnt afford it £50 is fine too. Could you agree an amount with the friendship group so you all give the same? I find sometimes others are wanting to have the same discussion x

That's probably a good idea. Although I'm aware I earn more than the rest of my friends so I feel I should be giving more. I shall probably stick with £75 and although they've not asked for gifts I will buy a nice bottle of red wine too as they're both wine lovers.

We were at a wedding on Friday. We gave £75 to their online wedding link and bought a couple of bottles of nice wine and put them in a gift box and that was about £35.
