The Lake buena Vista area, and the Disney Springs hotels are probably the nearest. If you're not driving check that they offer shuttles (or use Uber) as none are within walking distance of any park etc.

If you want a hotel, then I'd really recommend one of the Disney onsite hotels if you can, especially with children the age of yours. No need to hire a car, use Disney transportation to and from the parks, and it also means that if your youngest needs to go back for a nap, one of you can take them, and the other can stay in the park with the older child. It just adds so much more flexibility. Prices are more than offsite, but if you book now with free dining, then all your food and drinks costs are covered already, so no need to worry about that once you get there

Buena Vista Palace is right across from Disney Springs and was refurbed a few years ago, now has a lazy river. I stayed there before the refurb and it was good then. They have suites suitable for a family, which is what we had. Although just the two of us.
You wouldn't need a car, but we always prefer one.
