Working too hard before my holiday

I feel I'm doing too much before my holiday. Monday I rested, but Tuesday I worked 6 hours, Wednesday 5 hours, today 2 hours, tomorrow 2 to 3 hours, and even Tuesday (the day before we go to Gatwick) I have agreed to do a little job for a regular customer 1 to 1.5 hours. I don't usually work 4 days a week, but I've pushed mysef due to my Florida holiday.

I will have a week's break after my holiday to deal with jet leg, but do others feel they also work too many hours prior to their holiday?

I’ll be doing my usual 8 hours at work Monday to Friday an hour each night at the gym and any other hours at home running around after my lovely family.
So I’ll be ready for a break 😂

An 18 hour week, my heart bleeds for you!

Dh finishes soon today and is off tomorrow and never works weekends and we are off Sunday morning. Tonight we are off to the theatre in London, tomorrow shopping in between packing and watching tv. Dh is now moaning we aren’t going for two weeks instead we have 10 nights , dd has to go into school the day after we come home. Take it easy MH don’t wear yourself out, you can always sleep on the plane or drink lots of coffee to keep you awake!

Thanks for your empathy guys. It's not just the 18 hours but what you do in that time, because I spent around 10 mintes in a loft and was sneezing for ages afterwards, but I just get on with and don't like to complain.

Sandra, your hubby is also a grafter like me, and 10 days isn't enough for me or your hubby.

Are you sure you worked 6 hours on Tuesday and 5 hours on Wednesday? I’m sure we didn’t get that much of a break from you on the Dibb! ;-)

You would have seen a 6 hour gap from me on Tuesday, but yesterday (Wednesday) I had lost my mojo and kept stopping to do some dibbing (the customers weren't in most of the time), and it was a fixed priced job so I wasn't charging an hourly rate and the customer wasn't paying for my dibbing time).

I now have to drive 2 miles to the bank to pay some cheques in and then get some chocolate fingers, so I'm still technically working.

My DH has stopped taking cheques, he has bank transfers. No time to waste going to the bank. (he doesn't drink coffee)! So no time wasting in Costa.

Have you got your wipes ready for the plane, you might have booked the same seats we had previously, and we left them really mucky!

Works quite well!

Unfortunately, you can't get chocolate fingers via the Halifax app!
You can also do it with Barclays app, up to the value of £500 and a maximum of 4 a week. Few you can’t do eg gov ones for refund of car tax!
