Tips on getting children to take tablets

Any hints and tips on getting a 7 year old to take tablets?
They are only tiny tablets but not coated so the taste transfer onto tongue straight away.
I am currently placing one at the back of his tongue then he is drinking water in between each one (8 to be taken per dose)
Its really upsetting him, he is crying, gagging and getting in a state.
I have tried middle of his tongue but it gets stuck there and does not wash down with water then he is nearly sick.

Try talking to your doctor. My son has had liquid Or powder medicine so far rather than tablets as he’s the same (he had Scarlett fever at 18 months and actually figured out how to make Himself vomit! ). I then mix the medicine in with yoghurt, chocolate petit filous works best. Powders I’ve had to mix with fizzy drinks to disguise the taste but he thinks he’s getting a treat

They are prednisolone tablets. Do they come in liquid form?
It is becoming really upsetting for him x

Blimey. 8 is a lot. I’ve had that drug but in a different format which probably would be worse lol but a colleague takes them and just has one tablet I think and he’s on a high dose.
Otherwise, I know it’s not ideal from a dietary point of view but will they fit inside a jelly tot or similar?
Hope you can get something sorted

That’s the dose I take if I’ve had a big attack or am struggling to get back on an even keel with breathing. I’m sure it’s available as a liquid
