Donating Blood - Rules Changed from today - more inclusive

Hi folks, I just thought it was worth sharing this great news regarding the changes that have been brought in from today regarding who is able to Give Blood.

I haven't personally seen it being advertised much and it may impact fellow Dibbers or their family/friends who may now be able to donate for the first time.

These changes mean that more people can give blood, meaning a big step forward in equality, and of course a greater number of people who can donate, meaning more blood for those that need it.

The questions that are asked around sexuality are now much more specific to each persons situation and are no longer a blanket ban.

Great news, I got an email as I�m already a donor but I did also see them talk about it on Good Morning Britain and This Morning today. Hopefully this will encourage a lot more donors!

i didnt know the rules had been changed and tbh i was amazed it was still the case that there was a blanket ban on blood donations from gay men, the questions on the pre donation form are very (or were) very blunt..
