Christmas dinner, anybody else not having a traditional meal?

We have left the turkey in the freezer and are having an Indian meal for two plus extra sides. Afters will be Stilton with assorted cheese biscuits.

I did consider leaving the turkey in the freezer as there’s just the 3 of us now instead of 5. However, my freezer isn’t very big so it would take up so much space. Plus we still have DD home and we do enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner so we’re sticking with the turkey 😀

We did discuss having a bbq with us all wrapped up and cosy, jacket spuds and stuff and eating indoors once it was done, but based on the way the rest of the year has gone it would no doubt lash it down!

So we’ve got a roast planned but with chicken.

I would love something easy to eat but dh and the kids want roast with all the trimmings. I feel I have to make them happy because life isn’t wonderful at the moment!

In your position Id do a roast too but I'm not a fan of turkey, he's not a fan of gammon so no point. I cook a roast every Sunday so it's not special anyway. I have 4 Tesco half price joints in my freezer so we aren't short of meat.
