I didn’t think about it not happening either.Ds prom is 9th July.Only bought his shoes and outfit a few weeks ago.I suppose we will just have to wait until Monday to see what is said but I don’t think it’s going to be what we want to hear.

in our daughters case its an outside late afternoon garden party ? do different from more than 30 punters in a big tent watching football yesterday?

No news from school yet. They said they'd need to speak to the venue today after the announcement but seemed unsure as to whether they would be able to reschedule.

We are having to cancel our year 8 prom (middle school).
I will be spending tomorrow processing refunds which seems to have been the theme for the year really.

School have now said the venue have said if it went ahead there would need to be social distancing, no dancing or singing. I'm not even sure it could have gone ahead anyway as it's not a Wedding or wake. School are trying to see if they can rearrange for after the 19th July but then they might find people are on holiday. They suggest holding off buying dresses and suits till we hear but I would think most people already have them. They will let us know in a few days but I'm hoping they might let us know tomorrow as I need to take DD's dress to be altered on Thursday.

Ds year 13 prom has been delayed until August 13th.Hopefully it will go ahead this time,they get there A level results on the 10th so would be nice to have it then if possible.

I feel everyone’s potential pain as I still have the prom dress hanging in the wardrobe unused from 2020.

I’d like to think they arrange something for when they leave year 13 next year.
